Terms of Service

By using Stroke, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Stroke. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms (or have a parent or guardian agree for you).

Stroke is a design tool for drawing vector artwork and turning it into animations and 3D objects, with optional AI features. We are always improving Stroke, so features may be added, changed or removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable.

You can use Stroke as a guest, or sign in with Google. If you sign in, you are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Tell us at support@stroke.design if you think your account has been used without your permission.

You own the artwork, animations and other content you make in Stroke, and anything you bring into it that is yours.

Your projects are saved in your browser on your device. Clearing your browser's data, using another browser or device, or a problem with your device can lose them, so export anything you want to keep. We can't recover projects that aren't on our servers.

When you use a feature that needs it, such as sending a drawing to an AI feature, you give us permission to process that content only as needed to provide the feature.

AI features create replies, drawings, pictures and animations using third-party models. By using them you agree that:

• results can be inaccurate, unexpected or similar to content made for others, and you should review them before relying on them;
• you are responsible for how you use results, including checking that your use doesn't infringe anyone else's rights;
• you won't send content you don't have the right to use, or ask for content that breaks these terms or the law;
• AI features have usage limits, which may differ between plans and may change.

The icon and image libraries in Stroke bring in work made by others, through Iconify and Openverse. Each icon set and image has its own license, shown in the app. You are responsible for following those licenses, including any credit they require, when you use that work.

You agree not to use Stroke to:

• break any law, or make or share content that is illegal, sexually exploits children, or promotes violence or hatred;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
• harass, deceive, impersonate or harm others;
• get around usage limits or security, or access the service in ways it isn't meant to be used;
• overload, disrupt, scrape or attack the service, or upload malware;
• copy, resell or reverse engineer Stroke, except where the law allows it.

Stroke has a free plan, and some features or higher usage limits may need a paid plan. If you buy a paid plan, the price, billing period and renewal and cancellation terms will be shown to you before you pay, and form part of these terms.

Stroke's software, design and name belong to us and are protected by law. These terms don't give you any right to use our name or branding. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.

You can stop using Stroke at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if it is needed to protect Stroke or its users, or if we stop offering the service. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on content, disclaimers and liability, still apply afterwards.

Stroke is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that results will be accurate, or that your content will never be lost.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Stroke. Our total liability for any claim about Stroke is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our losses and costs from claims made by others that arise from your content or from your breaking these terms.

We may update these terms as Stroke changes. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will give notice on the website or in the app. If you keep using Stroke after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
